After consumption of carrion, it enters an enraged state making it more dangerous, however, it will drain its energy fast and leave it exhausted.

Behavior & Ecology

Odogaron scour the Rotten Vale and sometimes the Coral Highlands for food. Once doing so, it will take its kill or carrion back to its lair where it will feed. Odogaron possesses hyper-agressive behavior, attacking anything it comes across, even if its a monster that far outpowers it such as Deviljho or even Elder Dragons like Vaal Hazak. This agression is likely from the fierce compitition of the Vale, a show of dominance, and its poor eyesight. The moster lacks eyelids and its cornea protects its eyes. Despite this poor eyesight, Odogaron possesses onne of the greatest senses of smell. Its highly developed olfactory system allows it to pick up the sents of food amidst the rotting bodies of the Vale, and allows it to track down prey that are bleeding. Each paw possesses ten claws, four are always visible. Matter of fact, they aren't even the real claws, being substitutes believed that the first joint developed abnormally and kertinized. These four claws are used for running long distances and sneaking up on prey. The remaining six are retractable, being folded upwards, and are its real claws. All ten have three rows of jagged spikes which are used to rip flesh apart and cause severe bleeding. After consumption of food, Odogaron's metabolism drastically increases and makes it more ferocious and active. The protrusions on its tail are actually harded skin cells that can regrow if broken off. There is a theory that the reason Odogaron can move and react as quickly as it can is possibly from a highly modified nervous system that allows signals to easily pass through its body.
